For the past several years, annual gifts have been used to create an endowment that supports an outstanding physician or researcher whose new discovery in patient care are making a difference for citizens of South Texas and the world. President's Council gifts help ensure that the best research scientists, nurses, dentists, allied health professionals and physicians live and work in San Antonio and South Texas.
This year the largest President’s Council Award was granted to Dr. Steven R. Bailey and his team at the Janey Briscoe Center for Excellence in Cardiovascular Research to advance cardiovascular health in our world.
