Our Mission

President’s Council gifts serve the community in many ways by awarding money for scholarships, research, recruitment, endowments and more. Annual gifts to the President’s Council help further the mission of the UT Health Science Center to:

• Educate a diverse student body to become excellent health care providers and scientists
• Support biomedical research focused on prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease
• Provide compassionate and culturally competent state-of-the-art clinical care
• Enhance community wellness education through health awareness education

This year President’s Council gifts are dedicated to:

• Recruitment to bring the best and brightest students and faculty to San Antonio. Increased student enrollment is helping our University lead the way in addressing the shortage of physicians, nurses, dentists, biomedical scientists, and other health professionals.
  
  
• Research, clinical and educational facilities on our campus that will offer exceptional patient care and be home to world-class scientists who lead discovery in important research areas that affect our citizens, such as diabetes, aging, cancer, neurosciences and regenerative medicine. Our goal is to accelerate the pace at which great biosciences research is translated from the laboratory bench to the patient bedside.
